Today afternoon President Yoweri Museveni commissioned the newly constructed Supreme Court and Court of Appeal building based at City Square.
The new facilities at the new building include: innovation centers, breastfeeding rooms, mediation rooms, IT rooms, play centers for children, boardrooms among others, all these will enable dispensing of justice more efficiently. The building also has facilities that will cater for people with special needs like the disabled.
In attendance was Chief Justice Alfonse Owiny Dollo, former Vice President Edward Sekandi, retired Chief Justices Bart Katurebe, Justice Benjamin Odoki, Defense Minister Jacob Oboth, former Principal Judge Alice Mpagi the legal fraternity and its leadership, Members of Parliament among others.
