Police in Kyankwanzi are investigating the brutal murder of an 85-year-old woman who was attacked and killed in a coffee plantation.
The victim, Florence Namale, was found yesterday at Ntiba–Kayembe village in Ntwetwe Town Council, with her head smashed after being hit with a stone.
It’s alleged that the elderly woman had gone to harvest coffee armed with a panga and a bucket when unknown assailants ambushed her.
Wamala Region Police spokesperson Lemark Kigozi says Namale’s grandson, Bosco Sabalunzi, 18, discovered her body lying in the plantation.
Kigozi has appealed to residents with any information about the killers to report to the police in confidence.
