The findings of a probe on a Kyambogo University senior lecturer accused of aggravated defilement will be released on Wednesday.
Late last year, a committee was set up by the university Vice-Chancellor Prof. Eli Katunguka to investigate the allegations against Dr. Lawrence Eron, 56.
He is the former dean of the Faculty of Special Needs and Rehabilitation who was at the time also the acting deputy vice-chancellor in charge of finance and administration.
Eron was accused of defiling a 16-year-old visually impaired girl.
The long-awaited report by the investigating committee is now set to be officially made public, the university said in an invite to the press to the scheduled press conference.
"The report is out," the invite said.
The press conference will be at 1 pm inside the Central Teaching Facility Auditorium 105.
Prof. Katunguka is also expected to announce the measures the university took against the accused senior lecturer.
Police spokesperson Fred Enanga has previously said the victim was at the time a student in a secondary school in Mukono district.
He also said in late January this year that Eron had absconded while on Police bond on December 14, 2023, and that he had been in hiding since December.
