Judge directs on Mabirizi money laundering case against Speaker Among

On August 15, last year, Mabirizi in his individual capacity wrote to the Anti-Corruption Court Chief Magistrate requesting her to investigate and sanction money laundering charges against Among.

Mabirizi alleges that between 2016 and 2023 in Kampala Central and Nakawa divisions and in Bukedea district, Among intentionally acquired, possessed, used or administered property comprised in a palatial residential house at Mackinnon Road, a residential house in Ministers’ village Ntinda and Sky Hotel International knowing at the time of receipt of the properties were the proceeds of crime to wit corruption.
