KAMPALA - The jolliest festival of the year is here. Yes, you guessed it right. Celebrated every year on December 25, Christmas has its roots in the Christian tradition, marking the birth of Jesus Christ.
Observed by billions of people worldwide on December 25, Christmas holds profound religious significance as a time to celebrate the incarnation of Jesus, embodying God’s love and salvation.
As such, many Ugandans have embraced the day with churches filled to capacity as several clerics preached love, prosperity, and redemption.

At Miracle Centre Cathedral, Senior Pastor Robert Kayanja led the prayers, saying they were celebrating Christmas with the people of Karamoja as he donated two trucks of food to them.
"We want to celebrate our Christmas with the people of Karamoja that's why we flagged off this food. Our team in Karamoja is expected to give out the dispersed food and also slaughter animals for these people," Kayanja said. Photos by Simon Peter Tumwine
