The sub-county was first robbed of its speaker, Mustafah Bisike, at the beginning of last month before Manga’s death last Sunday.

However, Gulume, who served as the Mafubira LC3 chairperson in Jinja district for two terms, said he would keep supervising the sub-county on top of advising it on pertinent issues to avoid mistakes.

Gulume, who conveyed the condolence package of sh1m from the Minister for the Presidency, Milly Babalanda, thanked the residents for grooming Manga whose political journey began from a youth councillor before serving as a speaker until they elected him chairperson.

Aged 42, the deceased is survived by 10 children with the eldest aged 15, but Kagoma North legislator Alex Brandon Kintu implored them not to look at their father’s death as the end of their lives, but to remain hopeful by praying to God to intervene in every situation.

Present at the burial was the Jinja district woman legislator Loy Katali and Kagoma county MP, Moses Walyomu among others.
