The Bishop of Hoima Catholic Diocese, Rt. Rev Vincent Kirabo Amooti has urged Christians to revive the tradition of family prayer.

He made the call during Palm Sunday mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Bujumbura Cathedral.

Bishop Kirabo encouraged Christians to remain steadfast in their faith and avoid falling into temptation.

He further called on believers to use Holy Week as an opportunity to renew their commitment to God.

Palm Sunday marks Jesus Christ’s triumphant entry into Jerusalem, one week before his crucifixion and resurrection.

He rode into the city on a donkey as crowds welcomed him, waving palm branches and shouting “Hosanna”, meaning “save us now”.
