Govt plans to reopen Karuma Bridge before Christmas

The sh11 billion rehabilitation project, initially designed at a cost of sh7 billion, is in its final stages of completion and is expected to extend the bridge’s lifespan by 30 more years.

Located 270 km north of Kampala on the Kampala-Gulu highway, Karuma Bridge is the main connection between northern and southern Uganda.
