The Local Organising Committee of the TotalEnergies African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2024 has confirmed that tickets for the bronze medal match between Sudan and Senegal will be free of charge.
A total of 28,000 tickets will be distributed to fans ahead of the highly anticipated clash.
As in previous games, tickets will be accessed through the established distribution system, with the “no payment” option still available.
However, organisers have set a strict limit of three tickets per fan, ensuring fair access and avoiding bulk collection.
The game, scheduled for Friday at 6:00 p.m. inside the iconic Mandela National Stadium in Kampala, will see Sudan and Senegal square off for a place on the podium in the 8th edition of CHAN.
Sudan, guided by Ghanaian tactician Kwesi Appiah, have been one of the surprise packages of the tournament. Their determined run has earned admiration across the continent. Senegal, the reigning champions, will be eager to bounce back after their hopes of defending the title ended in the semi-finals against Morocco.
Reserved exclusively for players competing in domestic leagues, CHAN 2024 has once again showcased talent, resilience, and national pride. Friday’s battle promises intensity as both nations aim to finish their campaigns on a high.
Interestingly, Sudan and Senegal are also set to meet again soon in senior national team competition, giving Friday’s encounter the feel of a preview to a larger duel. For now, however, the focus is firmly on Mandela National Stadium, where honour, pride, and a bronze medal are at stake.
With free tickets up for grabs and continental bragging rights on the line, fans can expect a spirited contest under the floodlights of Namboole.
