KAMPALA - The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) at Kampala Metropolitan Police (KMP) has taken a significant step forward in the investigation into the alleged murder of Eng. Daniel Bbosa, the former leader of the Ndiga (sheep) clan.

“Today,(Monday) five suspects were arraigned in court in connection with the tragic incident, which occurred on February 25, 2024, at Kikandwa village in Lungujja-Rubaga Division, Kampala district,” Police spokesperson Fred Enanga says.

He adds that the suspects stand accused of unlawfully causing the death of Bbosa with malice aforethought.

Enanga says among those charged are Noah Lujja, a 21-year-old mason from Kabanga village in Mpigi town council; Harriet Nakiguli, a 40-year-old peasant from Nkere zone in Kawempe division; Joseph Nakabale, a 47-year-old painter from Gala village in Mpigi Town Council; Ezra Mayanja from Kiganda zone in Kawempe division and Milly Naluwenda, a 46-year-old secretary from Kisekwa Court of Buganda and resident of Kitunzi zone 7 in Rubaga division.

However, the search for the prime suspect and the alleged mastermind behind the murder, Lujja Bbosa Tabula, remains ongoing, according to Enanga.
“Tabula is currently evading authorities and is still at large. In a bid to expedite his capture, a bounty of shillings 10 million has been offered for anyone who can provide credible information leading to his arrest“ Enanga adds.

He made the remarks during the joint security briefing on Monday, March 11, 2024, at the Police headquarters in Naguru, Kampala.

Enanga said those with information leading to the arrest of the suspect are encouraged to contact the CID Headquarters via telephone at 0741111333 or visit in person to provide any pertinent information.

According to Enanga, the joint CI/CID task team continues to deploy all available resources and strategies to track down Tabula and ensure he is held accountable for his alleged involvement in the murder-for-hire plot.

“His apprehension is crucial in unravelling the complexities of this case and delivering justice for Engineer Daniel Bbosa and his loved ones,” Enanga said.
