KAGADI - Faith of Unity leader Owobusobozi Bisaka has appealed to his follower to embrace government programmes such as the Parish Development Model (PDM), Emyooga and Operation Wealth Creation.

“There are programmes that the Government introduced, [which] you need to embrace because they are for your own good. They are aimed at eradicating poverty from the community,” Bisaka said Saturday (March 11) while addressing his followers in Kagadi district.

He made the remarks while welcoming new followers into the faith, adding said many people are poor because they spend a lot of their time doing unproductive things.

“We only pray three times a month and the rest of the time is used to farm, attending to our businesses so that we can have to eat. Most religions spend a lot of time praying and worshiping and think that food will come automatically to their tables. Please go and work for yourself and your family,” Bisaka added.

He also revealed that he will continue supporting President Yoweri Museveni as the sole National Resistance Movement party candidate for Uganda’s presidency.

“Because of the peace that Uganda has, freedom of speech, worship and trade from one community to another are because of the good leadership from President Museveni. There is no other potential person who can lead Uganda just like Museveni has been doing until to date,” Bisaka said.
