KAMPALA - Hundreds turned up for Eid al-Adha prayers at Kibuli Mosque in Kampala that were led by Sheikh Hamid Tamusuza.
In his message to the Muslim faithful, Tamusuza encouraged Muslims to slaughter animals because it’s the main gist of Eid al-Adha.
Muslims celebrate Eid al-Adha to honour the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice his only son, Ismael, as an act of obedience to Allah.
After prayers, Muslims enjoyed a feast at Prince Kassim Nakibinge Kakungulu, the titular head of Muslims in Uganda's home at Kibuli in Kampala.
Dignitaries including Kampala Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago, former Kawempe North MP Latif Sebaggala and Kampala Woman MP Shamim Malende, among others, graced the Kibuli Mosque Prayers.
