Clad in uniform, a team of police officers in Greater Arua mesmerised the congregation during Easter Sunday service at Emmanuel Cathedral, Mvara—the seat of the Anglican Diocese of Madi and West Nile.
Among those in attendance were the Regional Police Commander (RPC) for West Nile Region, the regional police spokesperson (who also serves as the Regional Community Liaison Officer), as well as divisional DPCs from Arua Vurra and Ayivu East, and the OC Station, Arua.

He urged the public to remain vigilant, report suspicious activity, strengthen security at their premises, remain alert to their surroundings, and observe road safety regulations throughout Easter and beyond.
The RPC also appealed to event organisers to coordinate closely with joint security agencies to ensure safe and secure gatherings.
As part of the Uganda Police Force’s strategic vision, the RPC shared updates on the forthcoming implementation of the Sub-County Policing Model (SCPM) in the West Nile region.
This initiative aims to bring policing services closer to communities and enhance responsiveness at the grassroots level.
In his Easter message, Bishop Andaku urged the faithful to celebrate responsibly—avoiding excessive alcohol consumption, over-speeding, and immoral behaviour—and to adhere to police guidelines for a peaceful Easter season.
