ADDIS ABABA - Chief of an East African bloc on Friday expressed solidarity with Djibouti, which was afflicted with flash floods, calling for caution and vigilance.

Workneh Gebeyehu, executive secretary of the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD), underlined the importance of adhering to safety measures and disaster preparedness protocols to mitigate further damage and ensure the well-being of citizens.

He also reiterated IGAD's commitment to supporting its member states in fostering a more resilient future for all and called for proactive collaboration to implement sustainable solutions.
