Drowning claims 3,000 lives in Uganda every year — Survey

Benson Muhindo, the director of RAHU, said the main causes of drowning in Uganda are the use of poor-quality life jackets, canoes, boats and unpredictable weather. 

Water is life, but sometimes it can be lethal. In places like Mayuge district, located on the shores of Lake Victoria, families have had their fair share of drowning incidents.
