Singer Jose Chameleone who is on a sojourn of the US is reportedly in critical health condition.
The disturbing news that started swirling on social media on Tuesday night was confirmed by his father, Mayanja senior in a phone call to Vision Group’s Bukedde TV.
Gerald Mayanja acknowledged that his son is sick, and is currently in the USA undergoing specialized treatment.
The news filtered after Chameleone missed a scheduled performance in Ottawa, Canada.
Mayanja Snr, added that for a while, Jose Chameleone’s health been an issue and the singer has been in and out of hospital owing to gastrointestinal complications.
Almost two years ago, in August 2021, the legendary singer was bedridden in Nsambya hospital for five days.
Upon discharge, his then manager Bijou Fortunate revealed that Chameleone had been cautioned to steer clear of alcohol, which had reportedly taken a toll on his liver and kidney. He has since relapsed.
