CORRUPTION: Districts steal sh42b from Ugandan job seekers

Between 2018 and 2022, job applicants were asked to pay bribes amounting to sh78b, although the actual payments totalled to about sh29b. 

The survey indicates that the bribes paid translate into sh5.8b annually across the 20 districts sampled or sh290m per district.
