There are many different ways that a mattress can affect your sleep. A good mattress promotes better and more restful sleep - which has many benefits for you.

If you have been looking for the right mattress for you and your family, the Homes and Constructions Expo 2023 might be an event you want to visit.

Taking place on November 25 and 26, the expo will host exhibitors such as Rose Foam, a leading mattress manufacturer, who will be showcasing their latest innovations, trends, and expertise.

We had the opportunity to speak with Musa Nyombi, the Marketing Manager of Rose Foam Industries, to learn more about what they have in store to enhance the quality of sleep, particularly when it comes to choosing the right mattress.

When it comes to buying mattresses, did you know that your body weight plays a crucial role in the purchasing process?

“People often prioritise the size of the bed over their weight, only to realise later that they have chosen the wrong mattress. This oversight can result in kinks and depressions over time, impacting both your comfort and your wallet.

It matters what kind of mattress you buy.

It matters what kind of mattress you buy.

Therefore, before delving into bed sizes, it is important to consider the type of mattress that suits your body weight for a truly restful sleep,” Nyombi says.

Memory Foam mattresses

According to Nyombi, foam mattresses incorporate technology designed to regulate body heat. When you sleep on the mattress, the high-density foam absorbs heat, providing additional comfort, particularly in warm weather conditions.

This process occurs as the heat from the user's body softens the surface of the mattress. Additionally, these mattresses are engineered to withstand body weight efficiently, effectively relieving pressure from the body by absorbing stress from joints.

Bonluxe

This represents a reinvention of the pocket spring mattress, originally crafted by inserting springs into fabric pockets, now enhanced with the addition of foam for enhanced comfort.

The springs in this particular mattress contains a firm structure, making it well-suited for individuals with a slightly heavier weight.

It is even more ideal for those who weigh above 200 kilograms, as it mitigates strong bouncing effects owing to its robust springs and importantly prevents the formation of depressions over time. In contrast, pocket spring mattresses are tailored to accommodate individuals weighing below 150 kilograms.

Fit sleep

This mattress type is specifically crafted to alleviate mild back pain around the pelvic area. It features a supportive rebounded layer that creates a relatively firm surface, complemented by a thin layer of foam topping to enhance comfort, particularly for individuals experiencing mild back pain.

Alternatively, for those dealing with chronic back pain, an orthopedic mattress might be the preferable choice. Characterised by its substantial weight and exceptionally firm surface, this mattress is constructed with compressed foam designed to cater for chronic back issues.

If premium options like Bon lax, Fit Sleep, or Memory Foam mattresses are currently beyond your budget, high-density mattresses offer a viable alternative. Falling into the category of premium mattresses, they come in two distinct types: high-density smart, featuring vibrant colours, and the ordinary type.

The Homes and Constructions Expo serves as the perfect platform to witness and explore the latest products and innovations in construction materials. At a fee of sh10,000, one is guaranteed interaction with leading construction manufacturers, and an enlightening, transformative, and interactive experience.
