As the country reels from last week’s tragedy, in which a man hacked four toddlers to death at a day care centre in Kampala, religious leaders are calling for justice for the affected families.
The Archdeacon of Soroti Archdeaconry in Soroti Diocese, Canon Pascal Odele, has urged security agencies to thoroughly investigate the incident and ensure those responsible are held accountable.

The nation was left in shock after Christopher Okello allegedly stormed the Ggaba Early Childhood Development Program on April 2, 2026, and brutally killed four young children under unclear circumstances.
While preaching during Easter Sunday prayers at St Paul's Church Agule, Canon Odele described the attack as deeply traumatising and called on authorities to establish the motive behind what he termed a heinous crime.
Abraham Mukula, a local council II leader of Aukot subcounty, appealed to administrators of learning institutions across the country to strengthen security to prevent similar incidents.
