The Anglican Bishop of Soroti Diocese, Kosea Odongo, has urged his flock to shun evil practices such as corruption, indecent dressing, cohabiting and adultery.

“Dear Christians do not celebrate Christ's birth in a manner that does not bring glory to God,” Bishop Odongo said.

He made the call during Christmas prayers at St Peter's Cathedral in Soroti city.

He also emphasised the need for love and unity in families.

Bishop Odongo further called upon the Christians to take care of themselves because COVID-19 is still with us.

“Ensure you wearing a mask and follow the SOPs," he said.

The bishop also appealed to Christians for support towards the completion of the Cathedral, which is at the roofing level.

He said, " the roofing level requires a tune of sh320m."

Currently, Christians pray under a makeshift building as funds are being collected to furnish a church that will accommodate 3,000 people.
