Chinese Enterprise CRJE in Uganda, a subsidiary of China Railway Construction Engineering Group Co. Ltd supported the Muslim community with food items during Eid day. The donation included cooking oil, sugar, rice, beef, and personal care items.

Liu Qiang, the General Manager of CRJE (East Africa) Limited, and Shi Haiquan of the Uganda branch of CRJE (EAST AFRICA) handed over the donation together with the Minister of Kampala Capital City Authority, and Metropolitan affairs, Minsa Kabanda at Kitante Primary School.

Lui said that the donation is part of the social corporate responsibility to give back to the Muslim community in Uganda.

“We were invited to participate in this occasion and we decided to contribute our modest donations in terms of food items and clothing to the Muslim community Eid celebrations,” he said

Lui said that there are still many Ugandans living in difficult situations, but believes with development in Uganda more people will live happy lives in the future.

Minister Minsa Kabanda, hailed CRJE's timely donation to the Muslim community in Uganda saying that the food items help Muslims during the Eid celebrations.  Kabanda said that the Muslim community is willing to partner with Chinese enterprises in the economic transformation of Uganda.
