In the wake of the passing of Chameleone’s elder brother, Humphrey Mayanja, an audio clip surfaced online, stirring up attention

In the clip, the "Valu Valu" singer expresses sentiments indicating a strained relationship with his elder brother, accusing him of spreading false rumours about his personal life and income among friends in the US. This revelation has sparked discussion on social media platforms.

Responding to the controversy, Prossy Mayanja, the mother of the Mayanja brothers, appeared on Bukedde TV to provide insight into their relationship dynamics. She acknowledged that conflicts among siblings, including Chameleone and Humphrey, are not uncommon. Prossy shared that despite their occasional disagreements and heated arguments since childhood, the brothers always managed to reconcile and maintain their bond as brothers.

"They had times when they were mad at each other and fought viciously, but in the end, they would always reconcile. Most of the time, when they were fighting, we didn't even attempt to intervene because we understood that it was always temporary," she said.

Prossy emphasised Humphrey's role as a respected elder brother in the family, highlighting his willingness to assist his siblings during challenging times. She recalled Humphrey's involvement in efforts to resolve conflicts within the music industry, particularly during Chameleone's feud with Bobi Wine, emphasising his significance as a unifying figure.

"I remember when Chameleon was in conflict with Bobi Wine, Humphrey was deeply involved, and he made significant efforts to reconcile them. That's why he was respected as a big brother within the music industry," she said.

Tragically, Humphrey's battle with stomach cancer came to an end recently, leading to his passing. His funeral took place on April 3, 2024, in their ancestral home in Mityana.
