The Apostolic Nuncio Emeritus to Belgium and Luxembourg, the Most Rev. Archbishop Augustine Kasujja has asked Christians and all those who loved Archbishop Cyprian Kizito Lwanga to put into action the good things he always taught them instead of praising his marvellous works.

“Archbishop Lwanga gave a voice to the voiceless. He advocated and vehemently defended the poor, the oppressed, the repressed and the marginalized. He stood for truth and justice. He spoke out against immorality, corruption, and violence. He championed ecumenism, inter-religious collaboration and human solidarity. As we remember him, let’s not just praise him for the great projects he accomplished, such as redeveloping the Uganda Martyrs Catholic Shrine, Namugongo, or building the roadside markets. Let us instead put into action the Croatian values that he taught and stood for,” Kasujja said.
