Doves 1 - 2 UCU

As the FUFA Women's Super League season reaches its climax, the UCU Lady  Cardinals find themselves in a precarious position, seated 9th in the league standings with only 14 points and two games remaining.

Despite their recent triumph in the FUFA Women's Cup, questions loom large over whether their cup success can translate into league survival.

The  Lady Cardinals' journey in the Women's Super League has been fraught with challenges, as they've struggled to consistently find their form on the pitch, especially in the second round of the league.

The  Mukono side marked off the second round with a loss against She  Maroons, draws against Kampala Queens, She Mak, losses against Wakiso  Hills, Kawempe, Uganda Martyrs, and recently against Lady Doves.

With just two games left to play, they face an uphill battle against Rines at Kabaka Kyabaggu and relegated Asubo in Mukono to secure their position in the league standings and avoid relegation.

However,  amidst their league struggles, UCU's impressive performances in the  FUFA Women's Cup have been a beacon of hope for the team and their supporters winning in the round of 32 against Isra and Makerere.

Their  most recent away victory over Lady Doves FC in the cup competition  showcased their resilience and determination, something they have lacked  in the FUFA Women's Super League 

The question now arises: Can UCU Lady Cardinals harness the momentum from their cup success and translate it into a resurgence in the Women's  Super League? With their backs against the wall, the team must dig deep and rally together to overcome the challenges they face in the league.

As they prepare for their remaining league fixtures, every match becomes a crucial opportunity for UCU to prove their mettle and fight for their place in the Women's Super League. Their other relegation battles involve Wakiso Hill who are 18 points with the same goal difference and they play Lady Doves in Masindi, and Riness at Kabaka Kyabaggu in the final duel.
Seventh place, She Mak will be playing Uganda Martyrs at St Gerald's and finally  Lady Doves in Masindi at 19 points with a negative of three goals difference while Rines looks unsafe with 20 points because of a negative of eight goals and having a relegation battle opponents in UCU and Wakiso  Hill.
