AGAGO - The Archbishop of Gulu Archdiocese, Rev. Raphael Wokorach, has called on politicians across the country to conduct their campaigns with respect and dignity.

Presiding over a Thanksgiving mass in Agago district, organised by the family of  Chief Justice Alfonse Owiny-Dollo, Bishop Wokorach cautioned politicians against turning politics into a dirty game.

“Campaign with respect. Politics is not bad; it only becomes bad when you make it so. Karl Marx said religion is an opium, but Christianity is not bad; it only becomes bad when people misuse it,"  Bishop Wokorach said.

The Thanksgiving ceremony is being attended by President Yoweri Museveni, Deputy Chief Justice Dr. Flavian Zeija, former Deputy Chief Justice Richard Buteera, Acting Principal Judge Justice Jane Okuo Kajuga, members of parliament, bishops, and other dignitaries.

The colourful event, attended by hundreds of faithful and well-wishers, is marked by cultural performances, including the vibrant Larakaraka dance.
