Busoga bishop-elect the Rev. Can. Assoc. Prof. Grace Lubaale has met Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) leaders, including executive director Hajjat Sharifah Buzeki and her deputy Benon Kigenyi, as he continues engagements aimed at strengthening partnerships ahead of his consecration as the diocese's fourth bishop.
During the Wednesday, November 19, 2025, meeting at Buzeki’s office in Kampala city, Lubaale appealed for collaboration in developing projects that can uplift the Church and communities in Busoga.
He also formally invited the KCCA boss to his consecration slated for December 14, 2025, at Christ's Cathedral Bugembe in Jinja city.
Lubaaale, a respected academic and cleric, was elected earlier this year to succeed Bishop Paul Naimanhye, whose tenure is coming to an end.

His election was widely welcomed in Busoga, with many faithful expressing hope that his leadership would bring renewed focus on education, youth empowerment and improved stewardship of Church resources.
Busoga Diocese, one of the oldest dioceses in the Church of Uganda, covers 10 districts in the Busoga region and serves millions of Christians.
The region has long grappled with socioeconomic challenges, including high youth unemployment, declining household incomes and persistent underdevelopment.
Church leaders have often played a crucial role in supplementing government efforts in education, health and community mobilisation.
It is against this backdrop that Lubaale has embarked on building alliances with key institutions, including government agencies such as KCCA, to support initiatives that can strengthen Church infrastructure, improve service delivery and uplift the welfare of communities.
