Businessman pleads guilty over sh157m false tax declaration

According to the second count, Nsonga stated that he made a false declaration to a URA officer claiming that he purchased goods from Kakubuzi International Limited at shillings 66.8 million with a principal tax of shillings 32 million.

On his part, Nsonga asked for a lenient sentence saying he is a breadwinner with ten children. He implored the court to for a non-custodial sentence saying he did not waste the court’s time.
