Bush war veteran Brig. Gen. Kabuye dead

At the time of his death, he was chairman of the Unit Disciplinary Committee (UDC) at the Defence and Intelligence Services (DIS), formerly known as the Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence (CMI).

Brig. Gen. Tom Kikoyo Kabuye is dead. Brig. Gen. Kabuye, one of the bush war heroes, passed September 7, 2025, at his home in Kikyusa town council, Luwero district.

At the time of his death, he was chairman of the Unit Disciplinary Committee (UDC) at the Defence and Intelligence Services (DIS), formerly known as the Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence (CMI).

He also served as Assistant Chief of Defence Intelligence in charge of intelligence and was among the most senior officers in the security establishment.

His death comes shortly after the passing of two other senior UPDF officers within one month. These include Maj. Gen. (rtd) Hussein Adda, one of the longest-serving commanders in charge of Bombo General Military Headquarters, who died last Thursday at Victoria Hospital, and Brig. Gen. Bonny Wolimbwa, Commandant of the Basic Military Training School, who passed away on August 21, 2025, at the same hospital.
