Building safety lapses cause 108 deaths in 52 months – report

The root causes of building collapses were poor quality bricks, deviation from design, unsafe work methods, poor steel, poor concrete, old age/dilapidation, faulty/no design, and environmental natural disasters. 

A total of 108 Ugandans died in building-related accidents in the last 52 months, a report of the National Building Review Board (NBRB) investigation has revealed. (New Vision/Files)
