Helping out others may be a form of helping yourself.

Genesis 4:9

Then the LORD said to Cain, "Where is your brother Abel?" "I don’t know," he replied. "Am I my brother’s keeper?"

🤷‍♀️ Are you your brother's keeper?  Yes, you are. Let us always have a heart of flesh, not of stone. Be ready to help those in need; they may be in need of something as simple as a listening ear. You should never look at helping others as a burden, for in the future, they may be a permanent burden and danger, if not lifted to a particular level.

Almighty God, most merciful and compassionate. We pray that You enable us to impart Your love and care to those around us. May we always be a source of comfort and a shoulder for them to lean. Amen
