Be peaceful, refrain from violence  — Bishop Banja

Banja encouraged participants to reflect deeply on the meaning of the Way of the Cross rather than taking it as a routine activity, saying it is an opportunity for self-examination and spiritual growth.

The Bishop of the Namirembe Diocese, Moses Banja, has urged Ugandans to refrain from violence, emphasising that it does not lead to any positive outcome.

He encouraged participants to reflect deeply on the meaning of the Way of the Cross rather than taking it as a routine activity, saying it is an opportunity for self-examination and spiritual growth.

The event has drawn participation from religious leaders and Christians, including Bishop Dafa Amosa from Morobo Diocese in South Sudan, who shared his experiences on the dangers of war and the importance of peace.
