Azerbaijan family launches 86th borehole out of 100 target

WATER | BOREHOLE | BEE FAMILY 

MUKONO - The Azerbaijan nationals of Bee Family have launched the 86th borehole out of the 100 they are intending to drill in different parts of the country before the end of the year.

Isa Kiralire, the director of Nile Humanitarian Development Agency which is implementing the drilling of the boreholes in Uganda on behalf of the Bee Family said they decided to have the 86th borehole drilled at Lugamba village in Kyampisi sub-county in Mukono district at Muzza High School.

Kiralire said the students from area schools have been struggling to get water from a borehole they were sharing with the community.

He urged the students to concentrate on their books to compensate for the time they have been wasting while struggling with the community to get water.

Kasim Kaloozi, the communications officer of Nile Humanitarian Development Agency said the rest of the boreholes have been drilled in different parts of the country.

Harriet Tusiime, the school headteacher said after reading the scuffle between the students and the village members while struggling for water, the Nile Humanitarian Development Agency decided to help them with a borehole.

Tusiime said they decided to plant the borehole near the girls’ dormitory because according to their nature, they need water most compared to the boys.
