24 Pentecostal Assemblies of God bishops consecrated

Benjamin Okello of South Teso Pastorate will cover the districts of Ngora, Kumi and Bukedea after replacing Robert Simon Peter Eliodo.

The bishops were commissioned by PAG chairperson board of Trustees the Rev. Charles Ogang and  was assisted by PAG-Uganda presiding bishop the Rev. Bishop Simon Peter Emiau and Rev. Dr. Jeremy Feller from Canada.

Twenty-four recently elected bishops of the Pentecostal Assemblies of God (PAG) Church across the country have been commissioned and installed in Watoto Church, Byogerere in Wakiso district.

Among the bishops who were installed on March 27, 2024, after retaining their seats include Mathew Omagor of Central Teso Pastorate covering the districts of Soroti, Serere and Soroti City; Martin Ekamu of West Teso Pastorate covering the districts of Kaberamaido and Kalaki and Robert Olupot of Karamoja pastorate covering all the nine districts in that region.

Other commissioned bishops, included John Robert Odukatum of North Teso Pastorate covering the districts of Katakwi, Amuria and Kapelebyong. He replaces Bp Emeritus Emmanuel Okwalinga.

The bishops were commissioned by PAG chairperson board of Trustees the Rev. Charles Ogang and  was assisted by PAG-Uganda presiding bishop the Rev. Bishop Simon Peter Emiau and Rev. Dr. Jeremy Feller from Canada.

“Its another chance that God has chosen him to serve Him and His people,” Bp Omagor said on Wednesday evening .

PAG is a fellowship of more than 6,000 churches across Uganda. It operates in 111 political districts of Uganda with more than 2.7 million people attending services every Sunday.

PAG was registered with the Government of Uganda as a corporate body in 1966, followed by NGO registration in 1991 under the 1989 Non-Governmental Organisations Registration Statute.
