180 witnesses to pin War Lord Kony at International Criminal Court
Kony, a former Catholic altar boy, headed the feared LRA, whose insurgency against the Ugandan government saw more than 100,000 people killed and 60,000 children abducted, according to the United Nations.
Joseph Kony’s case remains the longest-running at the ICC, with an arrest warrant that has stood for nearly two decades. Although the Lord’s Resistance Army leader has not yet been arrested, Braun urged the victims not to lose hope, noting that many past cases have taken a long time before the accused were apprehended.
