Police on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, said they were hunting for a suspect identified as Isaac, who is on the run to answer to allegations of murdering a 15-year-old student, Mable Nankinga, of Kyemamba Seed Secondary School in Lyantonde district.
Twaaha Kasirye, the police public relations officer in charge of Greater Masaka, said the deceased’s body was found in her boyfriend’s room by her parents while searching for her.
“The territorial police in Lyantonde are hunting for one known as Isaac, who is on the run to answer to the allegations of murder of a 15-year-old student. On Monday, September 1, 2025, at about 10:00 pm, the deceased Nankinga escaped from her parents and went to Kyemamba trading centre to meet a boyfriend, one Isaac and spent a night there at his rented premises,” Kasirye said.
“They started tracing for her whereabouts within Kyemamba trading centre up to 10:00 pm when information reached them that she had spent a night at one Isaac's place, the boyfriend. Both parents of the girl proceeded to Isaac's rented premises to establish the same, only to find their daughter lying dead on the bed in his room. They immediately made a report to Police,” Kasirye added.
He said a case of suspected murder was entered, the scene visited, examined, and the body delivered to Lyantonde Hospital for postmortem.
“Efforts to trace one Isaac, a suspect, are underway,” he stated.
