15 suspected criminals are currently in custody at Gulu Central Police Station for allegedly disrupting businesses during night hours.

The suspects were among the 25 people arrested on Thursday, November 6, 2025, during an operation conducted by the Gulu Central Business Policing Division along Cemetery Road and at the Makome Bus Terminal.

The operation targeted criminal networks that have been terrorising residents and traders at night.

According to Aswa West Police Spokesperson David Ongom Mudong, the suspects who face charges including burglary, theft, and drug abuse will appear in court on Monday.

Mudong said the suspects’ case files have already been submitted to the Resident State Attorney for sanctioning, and legal guidance has also been provided.

He urged the public to remain vigilant and calm, noting that operations will continue to ensure Gulu City is free from criminal activity.
