Religious leaders in Toro Kingdom have used the 30th coronation anniversary celebrations (Empango) to remind King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV, 33, to look for a woman to marry.
The celebrations are taking place at the king’s palace in Karuzika, Fort Portal Tourism city.
"Of all the beautiful girls we have here, we pray that you choose one and take her as your wife," said Bishop James Mugenyi of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Bishop Robert Muhiirwa of Fort Portal Catholic Diocese also weighed on the matter.
"I also join my colleagues, the bishops (including Rt. Rev. Reuben Kisembo, Bishop of the Rwenzori Diocese), to ask the king to find a wife."

Early this week, the Queen Mother Best Kemigisa urged her son, the king, to consider marriage, reigniting national interest in the royal future of one of Africa’s youngest monarchs.
"The kingdom needs a queen. The people of Toro need to see a royal family grow. And as your mother, I know the time has come, my son, to choose a partner and give this kingdom a royal bride," said Kemigisa, drawing cheers and applause from the crowd.
Oyo ascended to the throne at the age of three after the death of his father. He has long been celebrated for his modern leadership and youthful energy.
However, as he approaches the mid-30s, there has been mounting interest in his marital status, among both royal observers and his subjects.
While the youthful king did not immediately respond to his mother's public appeal, his calm smile and respectful nod during her speech were seen by many as a sign of openness to the idea.
