PLU's Gashumba finds missing rib in Ssembabule

Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) national vice-chairperson (central Buganda), Frank Gashumba, is officially off the shelf, New Vision Online has learnt.

Gashumba, who is also the chairperson of the Council for Abavandimwe—people with distant roots in neighbouring Rwanda—today, May 15, 2025, was introduced by his fiancée in Ssembabule district.

According to a post on X, formerly Twitter, by Dr Lawrence Muganga, the celebrations have just begun.

"My brother, Umuvandimwe @FrankGashumba, is officially off the shelf. Today, he has been officially introduced to his better half’s family in Ssembabule. Big congratulations are in order, and believe me, the celebrations have only just begun," Muganga posted.

Gashumba, who is also the father of socialite Sheila Gashumba, at one time said he had no intentions of getting married, which meant sacrificing his freedom for a partner’s happiness. At the time, he added that there is so much suffering in marriage, and as a successful man, he doesn’t have time for all that.

However, going by the images coming out of Ssembabule, the vocal political and social commentator has been felled after his heart was melted by a girl whose name is Malaika Mutoni.

However, details about her remain scanty.
