KIBOGA - The Muhoozi Army team has launched an executive in Greater Kiboga and Kyankwanzi districts.

The team that was led by Donald Businge, the national chairperson of the Muhoozi army, said during the launch the public was yearning to have Lt. Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba as their next president.

Businge said under the leadership of National Resistance Movement (NRM), a foundation for socio-economic transformation has been laid by securing the country, building roads, hospitals, schools, water sources, and dams to generate electricity and other public services.

“We can promise you that we must create wealth, jobs and incomes for all Ugandans,” Businge said.

Albert Okware, the national logistic coordinator of the team, said they would develop a strategy to reach homesteads that are still in the subsistence economy to support them join the money economy.

He used the function to appeal to all leaders; political, religious, and cultural to join hands with Government to sensitise the communities and support the next president who will be fronted by NRM.

“The efforts now should be sensitising our people how and who to do what. Because we do not want our people to do what won’t help them so these committees will help in the grassroots,” he said.

Okware asked leaders at different levels to educate the people on the problem and danger of land fragmentation

The committees of nine will take services to the people in a more effective way and receive actionable feedback from them to quicken socio-economic transformation.

Fred Tofiiri, the Kiboga chairperson of the team, urged leaders at all levels to support the implementation of this intervention. "What we are launching here is a strategy which will help us to have better leadership."

“We call upon General Muhoozi to listen to our cry and retire from the army and come to serve us as our next president,” he added.

Ruth Kaitesi, who represented the LC5 chairperson, commended the team and the NRM national chairman who is also the President for promoting peace and stability in Uganda.

Julius Turyagumanawe, the Kiboga district Police commander, assured the team that security will be provided to them once they need it.
