Senior presidential advisor on special duties Odrek Rwabwogo has said marriage is about more than love.
“We should marry for more than just love because sometimes love evaporates and you retain the friendship, you retain some things,” he said on Friday, April 11.
This was during the X-space conversation hosted by the Presidential Advisory Committee on Exports and Industrial Development (PACEID) team.
He noted that love does not evaporate in a bad way but children, money and other things come in and if there is no fundamental basis for marriage, it breaks up.
“Marriage is the largest lab for how one manages relationships. When you have a conflict both of you are losers; there is no winner,” Rwabwogo, who doubles as PACEID chairman, said.
The episode 20 was titled ‘The Questions No One Asks: A Personal Reflection on Leadership and Becoming’.
It was about the roots beneath the leadership, the lessons that last, and the questions that define us.
Rwabwogo encouraged people to read biographies of leaders whether they be science, technology, politics, history to be transported to the world they never lived in and extrapolate what they need to do today.
