'Kwanjula' venue: When home is not enough

Celebrated musician Irene Ntale Nassuna introduced her fiancé Vincent Kalibbala, in a lavish cultural ceremony held in Kulambiro, Kampala, but one detail stood out, the ceremony did not take place at her parents’ home, as Buganda tradition prescribes. Fellow songstress Rema Namakula introduced her husband, Dr Hamza Sebunya, at a grand ceremony in Nabbingo, Wakiso, also away from her parents’ home.
