New Vision senior producer Rebecca Rugyendo is now married.
She tied the knot with David Mutebi at Kampala city-based Rubaga Miracle Centre Cathedral on Friday, June 6, 2025. The newly-wed couple later hosted their guests to a spectacular reception at Victory City Church, Ntinda (in Nakawa division).

Couple receives flowery tributes
The mood at the reception was one of joy, excitement, jubilation and celebration.
The function was also laden with interesting remarks about the couple. In any case, all the speakers rhymed in their acknowledgement of the couple’s attractive Christian disposition.

Rebbecca’s mother, Enid Shirley Rugyendo, could not control her emotions as she testified about her daughter’s deep faith/trust in Jesus her saviour. She acknowledged her as a prayer worrier, a focused woman who is never intimidated by situations, circumstances or peer pressure, a steadfast Christian believer who always seeks the mind of God in good and bad times, in victory and in failure.
Anne Asiimwe, a friend, marvelled at Rebbeca’s sincere and unconditional love, her courage, determination and deep sense of humour.

Apostle Dr Martin Ssuna also spoke highly of Mutebi, whom he acknowledged to be a God-fearing and hardworking man. He assured the people that Rebecca was safe because the family from which David hails is deeply religious. In it are Roman Catholic prelates such as the late Bishop Hadriano Kivumbi Ddungu of Masaka diocese, Catholic nuns, Evangelical preachers, apostles, church planters and musical ministers.
The function was beautiful, joyful, well-organised, and memorable.
In her thanksgiving speech, the visibly excited Becky Mutebi revealed her experience.
"It feels nice to be called Mrs Mutebi."
For those who wanted to know how she met the "kneeling man" (Mr Mutebi), she said: "Please visit us at our home."
