Ever feel like your partner has become a stranger? In a podcast ahead of the Bride and Groom Expo happening on June 27-29, we explore the power of paying attention in love relationships.

Being attentive to your partner is one of the pillars of a lasting love relationship. When you pay attention, you begin to treat others with intention and gain clarity on how you deserve to be treated.

But what happens when you stop paying attention to your partner or yourself? What happens when the person you once considered your closest starts feeling like a stranger? These were the questions in a Bride and Groom Expo podcast.

The conversation also addressed the importance of tuning into our own emotions and experiences. By paying attention to ourselves, we develop self-awareness — an essential tool for setting healthy boundaries and building the empathy and respect needed to nurture strong connections with others. This conversation will be explored further at the Bride and Groom Expo. On Sunday, June 29, at 3:00 pm, there will be a panel discussion led by a counselling psychologist and a renowned relationship expert, Dr Mariam Nagujja.

She will break down key topics such as love languages and effective communication. “The intention of learning love languages, compatibility and good communication is to create a foundation of “emotional fulfilment” ... which is the bond that creates happiness in marriage! People only find happiness when their emotional needs are met.”
