Uganda to receive malaria vaccine
The United Nations Children’s Fund (Unicef) on July 6, 2023, tweeted that Kenya, Burundi and DR Congo will also be recipients of the vaccines in response to a high demand for the vaccine in African states.
WHO immunisation director Dr Kate O’Brien termed the malaria vaccine as a breakthrough for children’s health and survival because they are the most vulnerable group to the disease.
