UCI to store sperms, eggs for cancer patients

According to UCI, research conducted in 2023, 79% of adolescent and young adult cancer survivors reported that they were never informed about fertility risks during treatment.

Every year, about 3,278 children and adolescents develop cancer in Uganda yet only 36% can access treatment at the Uganda Cancer Institute.
