Turkish doctors open medical camp in Busoga

The free medical camp that started on October 30, was organized by the Association of the Friends of Africa (TADD) a Turkey-based non-government organization in partnership with Safe Love for Orphaned Children Africa (SLOCA) and will run for six days at Jinja Regional Referral Hospital.

Busoga Kingdom’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Joan Machora Kitto and doctors from Turkiye (Turkey) have rallied communities in the Busoga sub-region with different ailments to take advantage of free medical services and checkups at the ongoing medical camp organized at Jinja Regional Referral Hospital.
The free medical camp that started on October 30, was organized by the Association of the Friends of Africa (TADD) a Turkey-based non-government organization in partnership with Safe Love for Orphaned Children Africa (SLOCA) and will run for six days at Jinja Regional Referral Hospital. It will end on November 5.
The President of TADD in Africa, Bilgehan Guntekin, who is also the team leader said his delegation has specialists from Turkey who are working with over 20 doctors to treat people at the medical camp at Jinja Regional Referral Hospital.
Guntekin said they are offering gynecology services, general surgery, urology, plastic surgery and ENT services.
A medical camp is a temporarily organized activity within a specified locality for purposes of providing free, subsidized or sponsored medical, surgical, dental diagnosis and treatment.
On October 30, the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Kampala organized a celebration reception at Sheraton Hotel Kampala, marking a significant milestone in the history of Turkiye, tracing back to the proclamation of the Republic on October 29, 1923
