Over 1.4 million Ugandans have diabetes

"We've seen a significant increase in diabetes cases, from 1.4% in 2010 to 3.3% in 2024, with over 5% in urban areas," Frank Mugabe, a principal medical officer in the office of NCDs at the ministry.
