The Administrator of the Rotary Club of Kumi, Winnie Akulu, has challenged parents and community authorities to instil good discipline in children and ensure equal treatment for both boys and girls.

Speaking to Etop Radio, Akulu noted that recent efforts by government and civil society organisations have largely focused on empowering girls and women, unintentionally leaving boys and men behind.

She emphasised the need for parents and school authorities to dedicate time to all children, listen to them, and guide them on the right path.

Meanwhile, Christine Amoding, the Head Teacher of Ogooma Primary School, agrees that boys also need empowerment and support to enable them to complete their primary education cycle successfully.
