UNCC celebrates World Music day with dialogue on Ugandan music industry

In his address, Ekongot said the Ugandan music industry has remained stagnant for the last 20 years because the music industry has not been organised. "We were at the same level with the Nigerian music industry 20 years ago, but they are ahead of us because their government streamlined their industry and made it profitable for all players unlike in Uganda where the industry profitability is limited to a few individuals within the industry," he said.
