UK's press describes Sheilah Gashumba's God's Plan as a prolific robber

KAMPALA - After the alleged fraud charges against Zahara Toto's ex, Don Solo in Nairobi, there are other Ugandan dons, their women, and crimes.

They splash money in bars, and buy new flashy rides, and date the hottest slay queen on Instagram and all their stories are similar.

Usually, because they crave attention, they even open up social media accounts where they post their stashes of money, shiny watches, and the swanky apartments where they stay.

Before he became God’s Plan, Marcus Ali Lwanga was described by the press in UK as a prolific robber, a mastermind of so many money heists in the city of Newham.

At the age of 21, he was found guilty of conspiracy to rob at Wood Green Crown Court in July 2008.

He was caught using state-of-the-art technology and jailed for eight years.

Of course, when the eight years elapsed, he surfaced in Uganda as God’s Plan. He picked Sheilah Gashumba and they started dating.

He has blown and splashed money, and stayed at most of the swanky apartments in town. He cuts the epic stereotype.

SK Mbuga is another of the many self-claimed tycoons who looked very believable. He had a number of businesses to his name, and an income trail to back up the story of his lavish lifestyle.

He even promised to build a hospital at some point. That is perhaps the reason many people got surprised when he was arrested and later convicted in Dubai.

Like expected, the story bordered on fraud. By the time he was released, Uganda had moved on.

Before the Rich Gang, and all of the self-claimed millionaires in Uganda, there was Mike Ezra. He broke the biggest socialite record when he wrote a blank cheque to the USPA gala organisers.

The event he sponsored turned out to be the biggest, most lavish USPA gala in history. It is rumoured that the USPA gala decided to write sh1b on the blank cheque.

Ezra then moved so fast and displayed a stash of US dollars to the press and impressed media with attempts to buy Leeds United Football Club in the UK.

Leeds is currently a Premier League Club. Shortly after that, he was arrested in Nairobi, apparently for fraud.

He has never seen the light of day ever again.

The story of Don Nasser is very similar to the rest, except it happened in Uganda. He had kept a good low profile, until he started dating Mastuula Mutaasa.

She felt like she could not enjoy, and live in such luxury, without her haters knowing. So she took to putting word out about how Don Nasser had funded her very expensive breast and butt implants.

This roused the attention of security agencies. Before we knew it, he was plucked from his house ceiling and arrested like a poor man.

It was then rumoured that his wealth was acquired through fraud, but like the iron hand that money is, the story died a natural death.

When Development Channel launched in Uganda, hordes of celebrities jumped onto it. They called Lambert Chairman because it looked like he had brought positive change to the country.

Unbeknownst to many, it was alleged that he was being looked for outside of Uganda.

The Developmental Channel scheme was investigated, and their model was perforated by social critiques.

It was later discovered that the office they claimed to have in Europe was online and non-existent. After which people got more curious and more probes were launched.

Police arrested him shortly after than that.
